This will be a one day event — either Saturday 3/9, or Sunday 3/10 depending on weather and avalanche conditions.
Approach from Alpental Valley, via Snow Lake and Melakwa Pass (See map). This is a long outing - 8.2 miles round-trip, across varying terrain including very steep slopes, with a 3,875’ total gain. Please contact leader for details.
Required Gear:
- Snowshoes, or skis (must stay with group)
- Crampons, ice axe and helmet
- Avalanche beacon, probe, and shovel
