7:00 AM at Carbon River RS-MRNP
Students have priority. S3,T2 Safety essential equipment: Crampons, snow shoes, ice axe, climbing helmet, hasty harness kit and 10-E required. This is a moderatley paced scramble to Florence Peak. As of 5-9-09 snow level at 3,100 ft with 6" of new on top of crust. Three hours to reach ridge top at moderate pace. We will travel a as a team to reach the peak. Students must have successfully completed their conditioner and Snow 1 to participate. -----For those interested, leader is camping out at Irish Cabin Saturday night and doing a conditioner on Sunday. This is a good practice opportunity for students wanting to prep for the Scramble Overnight at Bean Basin.
