5am Saturday morning, Brickyard Park & Ride
Saturday: Approach to Eightmile Lake, 6.5 miles 2900 gain from Bridge Creek. Climb Axis Peak via western gully, 2900 gain, snow slopes to 50 degrees.
Sunday: 7-8 mile loop, 4500 gain including exposed 8 foot downclimb section on snowy rocks. Many sections of 45 degree snow.
Monday: Leave camp by 9am to cars.

Required: Recent experience doing 5000 foot days in snow, off of trails. Comfortable on steep snow up to 50 degrees. Experience with multi-night winter camping. AIARE level 1 certification.
