Winter Scramble - Dirtyface Lookout

A winter scramble to a great view summit on the east slope. Will follow the trail route to the lookout site at 5989.'

  • Pace: Steady but not fast

5:30 at Monroe Park and Ride. Please be on time.

Lower slopes may be melted out, so we may be carrying snowshoes part of the way. This route is sometimes icy, so crampons  and ice axe should be should be brought. Avalanche beacons and shovels are desired but not required. Note that leader is 58 and prefers not to travel at fast pace. We'll allow adequate time to complete the route without hurrying.
