Winter Scramble - Camp Muir

This trip is a conditioner for higher altitude and will be conducted at a moderate rate. Priority given to Olympia branch scrambling and climbing students needing a conditioner for course credit. Requests from others will be noted, but not added to the roster or waiting list until Wednesday April 13th.

  • M2 Advanced Ski, Snow Scramble, Winter Scramble, Very Strenuous
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 10.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 4,600 ft
  • Pace: At least 1 mph

We will be meeting at the Longmire parking lot at a time to be determined by the opening of the gate to Paradise (  I'll correspond with the team on the days before the climb to update the meeting time.

Participants needing conditioner credit will need to carry a minimum of 30 lbs.  I'm not carrying that much, but feel free to knock yourself out :)  Decision about traction, snowshoes and other equipment will be communicated as the date for the event approaches.
