!WARNING! : This is a winter trip, as such, weather can be unpredictable and result in whiteout conditions. This has the possibility, depending on the severity, to cause spatial disorientation. If you are severely sensitive to such phenomena, this trip is not for you, and would be best to wait for a summer trip to Camp Muir.
This is an overnight trip staying in the public shelter at Camp Muir. The shelter is first-come-first-served, so there's no guarantee that there will be space for everyone, which means this trip has the possibility of needing to tent.
We're going to gamble and assume that a first-come-first-serve permit will be available:
http://www.nps.gov/mora/planyourvisit/wilderness-permit.htm
The permit shouldn't cost anything, but there might be a $20 dollar wilderness permit fee, which will be divided among all the participants if we are charged.
