Whitewater Packraft - Snoqualmie River (Middle Fork - Upper): Dingford Creek to MF Trailhead

A Hike-To-Packraft trip to explore the Middle Fork above the confluence with Taylor River. Class II paddlers may put in below the class III section. Class III paddlers may put in at or below Dingford Creek.

  • Class II River, Class III River
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 5.7 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 400 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 1,280 ft

We will meet and end at the Middle Fork Trailhead.  No shuttle.  We will hike the Middle Fork Trail upriver, scouting the river as we go.  Our put-in will be either the Middle Fork Backcountry Campground, Dingford Creek bridge, or earlier.  Estimated hike length is 5-7 miles.  Starting elevation is 1,000 feet and the trail reaches 1,280 feet at it's highest.  We will go at a relaxed pace and aim to hike no more than 3 hours.

According to recent beta, we can expect at least 2 portages. Time on the river is estimated to be 2-3 hours.

The upper half of this reach is Class III.  Class II Paddlers may wait at a put-in below the class III rapids, and join from there.

I have not done this route. It will be an exploratory trip. River levels fluctuate extremely in April. If too high or too low, we will pivot to Plan B.

TBA after registration closes.
