Whitewater Packraft - Payette River System

Join the club's pod of paddlers at the 2025 APA Roundup. A fun, annual event going on over 10 years. We will primarily be running class II+ and class III sections of the Payette.

Although this is a multi-day trip, we will be car camping. We will set up a basecamp, likely at the APA event, and go on day trips from there.  

It is not necessary to register for the APA Roundup event to go on our trips, but is required to camp at the APA event.  Go to the American Packrafting Association website to register. 

Exact dates may change pending announcement by APA.   Patrick Do is on the APA Board and can provide more information for those who would like.  We will plan to carpool or caravan to the site and camp at or near Crouch, ID.

  • Life jacket, PFD Class III or better
  • Whitewater helmet
  • Drysuit or thick wetsuit
  • Closed-toe shoes, no sandals

  • Waterproof Whistle
