This loop walk starts at Pioneer Square Habitat Beach and celebrates public art installations through downtown past Hammering Man to the Pike Place Market, then the Olympic Sculpture Garden and Myrtle Edwards Park. From Myrtle Edwards Park, we will follow the Elliott Bay Trail south and eventually merge onto the Overlook Walk. We will have plenty of time to explore the newly developed waterfront area, enjoy the sights, and have fun being “tourists” in our wonderful city.
This loop is 3.5 miles but we may expand that a mile or so depending on the group’s interest in exploring the new developments on the waterfront.
Meet shortly before 9:00 am with packs on and ready to walk. We will meet at the Pioneer Square Habitat Beach (199 Alaskan Way), just south of the Seattle Ferry Dock. There is good metro transit service; refer to transit app for specific routes.
