Urban Walk - Discovery Park

This is a mentored walk! Please join us for a wonderful loop walk through Discovery Park in Magnolia, we will head down to the Lighthouse to watch the birds and happenings on Puget Sound! With luck, we will have some interesting bird sightings on our walk. The Seattle Audubon Society lists 270 species sometimes seen in the park, or just offshore.

We are meeting at the Discovery Park Visitor Center  at 9AM. We will be meeting in front of the main doors. I will be wearing a bright orange jacket. Please make sure to come a little early, so you have time to use the visitor center facilities. After a short introduction at 9AM, we are hitting the trails!

This is a mentored walk! Thank you Valerie for co-leading this walk and mentoring me to become a urban walk leader!

Make sure to bring sturdy shoes, as the trails can be wet.

We will also stop and gather at all intersections and wait for my command. I will check if it is safe to cross the road! Thank you for your cooperation with this, as safety is most important!  If you like to venture ahead on your own, this is not a great trip for you! We are keeping together! We will also share the trail with other hikers and walkers and trail runners, so it is advised to hike in single file during narrow parts of the trail.
