Urban Adventure - Magnuson Park

We will bird watch and identify native trees at both Magnuson Park and the Union Bay Natural Area (Montlake Fill). Our focus will be on bay waterfowl and feeding flocks of birds.

Meet at the Center for Urban Horticulture at 8 AM (parking lot at east end of the center).

We will walk at both parks visiting birding spots including Yesler Swamp and a number of ponds and lakefront viewing sites at Union Bay and the North shore, the ponds, the east beach and promontory point.

Water, snacks, appropriate outerwear and sturdy shoes. Bring binoculars and spotting scopes if you have them. We will be on trails that may be muddy so boots or hiking shoes are suggested.
