Urban Adventure - Emmett Miller Memorial Seward Park to Dim Sum

Urban Adventure - Emmett Miller Memorial Seward Park to Dim Sum

This easy one-way hike will follow the shoreline of Lake Washington while we enjoy a series of small parks. At Colman Park, we'll head uphill to reach the Mount Baker bike and pedestrian tunnel. Our destination is the International District where we will stop at a stellar restaurant for an optional dim sum lunch.

Meet at 9:45 a.m. at the edge of the north parking lot near the old bathhouse at Seward Park.  If taking transit, the Metro route 50 bus will bring you within a block of the park at the corner of Seward Park Ave. S. and S. Orcas St.

This annual urban hike, which follows the start of the Chinese New Year, was rescheduled due to snow in February.  It is a one-way hike from Seward Park to Seattle's International District, also known as Chinatown.  Those who choose to drive to the park will need to return by bus to pick up their cars.  Bus riders are advised to check Metro Trip Planner for information on bus routes.  Bus route 50 is recommended as your best choice.
We plan to end the hike at a restaurant that serves dim sum, a scrumptious assortment of appetizer-sized dishes.  If you plan to stay for the group lunch, please bring cash. Last year we paid about $10 each.  Also, remember to bring your ORCA card or bus fare.
