Urban Adventure - Burfoot Park

Berry Picking and Dessert Family Outing! We will gather blackberries and whatever local berries are available and then make blackberry pancakes with whipping cream for a dessert at the park!

  • Easy
  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)
  • Mileage: 1.0

Actual location will vary based on where the berry picking looks best, but it will be somewhere close to Olympia if not at Burfoot Park.

We will meet at parking lot at park with berry buckets and walk a short distance to picking site.  You will get some instruction on edible berries and how to deal with blackberry thickets.

After picking we will gather with cookstoves and cook up some blackberry sauce and dessert pancakes.  Kids will get to flip their own pancakes before they eat!

We will meet at 7:00 pm and be done by about 8:30.
