Join us at our Yelm Shoreline Protected area for a morning of planting native shrubs.This planting will increase the site's biodiversity and improve the forest along this stretch of the Nisqually River.

  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)

We will be meeting at 9 AM near Yelm, Washington. As well as registering through the Mountaineers, please register here  if you would like to attend. Once you register through the link you will receive driving directions to the work site. If you have questions, email Volunteer Coordinator Courtney Murphy at

  • RSVP is required for directions.
  • Coffee, water, and some light snacks will be provided; please bring a water bottle and anything else you might need.
  • Work parties are rain or shine. Bring layers, rain gear, and close-toed shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.
  • If you have life-threatening allergies, please consider bringing your EpiPen.
  • All minors MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Work parties are rain or shine. Please bring rain gear and whatever warm layers you think you might need.

Wear close-toed shoes you don't mind getting wet/dirty.

Tools and work gloves are provided.
