Silver Hall, Thornton A. Sullivan Park  at Silver Lake in Everett, WA
Saturday June 10, 2017, 9am-noon

You may have been a volunteer at one of GreenEverett's restoration events, helping to plant a tree or remove some nonnative weeds, but did you understand how your efforts were important to Everett's urban forest?

Join GreenEverett at our annual Green Everett Partnership Orientation on June 10th for an interactive 3-hour workshop where we will discuss urban forest ecology and restoration. We will also cover Everett's 20 year plan for managing its forested parks. This session is also recommended for folks who would like to become a forest steward and lead future restoration events in their neighborhood.

YOU MUST RSVP TO greeneverett@forterra.org

*PLEASE NOTE: Mountaineers Leader may not be present. GreenEverett's people will be the "leaders". However, I will be the contact person for The Mountaineers. Note that two 1/2 days are required to earn a stewardship badge - this is worth one 1/2 day.

*PLEASE RSVP for the event by emailing  greeneverett@forterra.org  in addition to signing up through The Mountaineers. This way they can let you know of last minute changes, and will be prepared for your attendance. THIS IS MANDATORY.

To get the 1/2 day credit you MUST sign in with GreenEverett at the event.

Bring your family, friends, neighbors!

More info can be found here: www.greeneverett.org

Two half-day stewardship activities with GreenEverett will count for 1 full day stewardship badge. Note that there is an administrative lag between the time that you complete your second event and the time when your badge is granted. If you think you should have earned a full GreenEverett stewardship badge and it is two weeks after your second event, please contact the Mountaineers leader.

Volunteering at two GreenEverett half-day events will fulfill the stewardship requirement for Everett Climbing students. If you need stewardship credit for a different course/branch, please check with your course coordinator to confirm that these two half-day events qualify for their requirements.
