After we arrive, we will gear up, do introductions and make our way to the trailhead to meet our Stewardship Partners, Skagit Trail Builders. It is a short walk from the parking area to the trail head.

We will have a better idea of what our specific stewardship or conservation activities will be closer to our trip date. This will be communicated to you in the Hello Hiker email that will be sent out a few days before our trip.

  • We plan to meet our stewardship partners, Skagit Trail Builders ay 8:50 am  to check in and start our safety meeting. We work 9am-4pm, rain or shine.
  • There are a variety of jobs on each of our work parties and participants are encouraged to rotate through different activities. Digging blackberry root crowns using the Root Slayer tool is a favorite job of many participants.

We will meet at the parking area for volunteers, located on the Port of Skagit S.W.I.F.T.campus, near Sedro Woolley, WA. at 8:30 am. Participant should arrive 15-20 minutes early to visit the restroom and gear up to be ready to go at 8:30 am.
