After we arrive, we will gear up, do introductions and make our way to the trailhead to meet our Stewardship Partners, Skagit Trail Builders. It is about a 8-10 minute walk from the parking area to the trail head.
We will have a better idea of what our specific stewardship or conservation activities will be closer to our trip date. This will be communicated to you in the Hello Hiker email that will be sent out a few days before our trip.
- We plan to arrive at the Pump House Trailhead at 8:50 am so we have time to sign in before we start our safety meeting. We work 9am-4pm, rain or shine.
- There are a variety of jobs on each of our work parties and participants are encouraged to rotate through different activities. Digging blackberry root crowns using the Root Slayer tool is a favorite job of many participants.
We will meet at the parking area for volunteers, located on the Port of Skagit S.W.I.F.T.campus at the corner of Hub Dr and Planters Rd in Sedro Woolley, WA. at 8:30.
