10:00 AM at Pilchuck Lookout
Since some of the crew will be already at the lookout, we will meet there at 10:00 am. For most, you will need to leave the trailhead before 8:00 am to be at the lookout by 10. There is snow on the trail above 4900'(the last 400 vertical feet), so be prepared for it. The lookout and immediate summit area is snow free. It's forecast to be dry and warm this Saturday. Gentle breezes and scattered clouds are promised by the weather forecasters. With the recent rain the air will be clear from Adams to the American Border Peaks. What a great day for a hike to a stunning view- - and to help out the lookout. We need people to help the lookout while the weather is clear and warm. The preparation is done. Please come help us out by helping carry in paint. recovering our repair supplies that were tossed off the north face from the lookout and stopping by and helping paint for a few hours (bring painting clothes and eye protection). The most weather sensitive work is getting the lookout painted while the weather is good. With the late snow and cold Spring/Summer our opportunity to get the lookout painted is NOW.
