Garfield Ledges Trail Building with the Greenway
Stewardship 9-1
After-Celebration 1:30 - ~3:30
Help us complete the Garfield Ledges Trail, the newest scenic vista trail in the Middle Fork Snoqualmie Valley! When finished, this trail will provide access to dramatic views of the glacially-carved Middle Fork Valley and beyond to Cedar Butte and Rattlesnake Ledge. It will wind gently through mature second growth forest on the western slope of the Middle Fork Valley’s most iconic peak, Mount Garfield. Come out to learn about the project, see the trail and learn about the project by pitching in to help us build this trail! Volunteers will help build rock retention structures, fill in and define trail surfaces, and cut back roots in the trail surface.
Following this work party, volunteers are invited to join in a celebration of our public lands and the collaborative stewardship efforts in the Middle Fork Snoqualmie Valley. REI will be hosting a Cheers for Volunteers event, with food, drinks, and raffle prizes at the Middle Fork Campground.
