Stewardship - Lonseth Preserve (Olympia)

Join us for a breath of fresh air at Lonseth Preserve! This 60-acre property was previously operated as a sustainable timber harvest operation and sits between Budd and Henderson Inlet. Since Capitol Land Trust purchased the property in 2011, we have been working to achieve old growth characteristics by salvaging, replanting and thinning the forest. Thinning promotes faster and larger tree growth by opening up the canopy! Before we can thin out more trees, we need to carve access paths so that later work parties can get to the trees.
