Join me as a Trail Ambassador on the Mountain Loop Highway. We’ll be “tabling” from 7:30a- 1:30p at various trailheads throughout the summer.
Our job is to educate and assist the public, sharing information on 10 Essentials, Leave No Trace and recreating safely while outdoors. No experience is required, and you’ll be working with a trained Ambassador and Mountaineers leader. A working knowledge of WTA’s web site and hiking experience is highly desired and leader may ask non hikers to complete supplementary online training.
This project is a cooperative effort sponsored by the U.S. Forest Service, Glacier Peak Institute (GPI), Forest Service Foundation and WTA. The Mountaineers assisted in the pilot program last year and it was a great success. Please join me, give back and earn stewardship credit with Mountaineers.
Note - We will be outdoors all day and working in areas without cell service. Additional details to be provided to participants.
