National Public Lands Day NPLD is the nation's largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands Americans enjoy. In 2010, 170,000 volunteers built trails and bridges, removed trash and invasive plants, planted trees and restored our water resources. Join us for the next NPLD on September 24, 2011 on the historic Iron Goat Trail to help build the spur trail that will connect to the Kelley Creek Trail, a gateway to the new Wild Sky Wilderness. There will be a trailhead barbecue for everyone after the workparty. Contact the leader at 360 652 4459 both to sign up or if there are any questions.
