Stewardship Half Day - Shadow Lake Nature Preserve

Help SHADOW beautify our 100-acre preserve and wetland bog by maintaining trails, removing invasive weeds, and planting and pruning native species.

  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)

Restoration Work Parties take place Saturdays from 10am to 2pm at SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve (21656 184th Ave SE, Renton WA 98058). 

We will meet in the main parking lot of SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve. Parking is limited and carpooling encouraged. Extra parking is along 184th Ave.

No previous experience or tools are required, simply arrive with weather-proof clothing for working outside, a water bottle, and a smile. Please be aware that you may encounter muddy areas and plants with thorns.

We will start with a tour of the bog. About halfway through working we will have a break to rest and eat.

Bring appropriate clothing. Eye protection is recommended for working with tools and thorny plants.
