Stewardship Half Day - Mountaineers Seattle Program Center

Expect to get a little dirty, so please wear appropriate clothing. No experience necessary. We will be working on the front side of the property - simple weeding, pruning, and possibly spreading arborist chips and laying rip hoses. We will go over what to weed before we start.  We have a limited supply of gloves and hand tools.  If you have gardening gloves or prefer to use your own, please bring them with you.  Please also bring any hand spade, trowel, pruning shears, and/or loppers if you have any of these. If we have a big group, more tools are better. Bring a water bottle and clothing appropriate for the weather.

As a half-day activity, participants who complete this activity are not eligible to receive the Stewardship Credit badge. If you have completed multiple half-day stewardship activities within the past year and you need this badge for course credit, please email info@mountaineers.org with the dates of your participation and our Member Services team will award you the badge.

We will meet in front of the main entrance by the basalt columns at 8:30 am.
