9AM at Forest Park in Everett.

Join in on the celebration and join us for Green Everett Day 2017, on October 28th! We are super excited - this will be our biggest Green Everett Day yet! Join your family, friends, and neighbors in celebrating Everett's forested parks and natural areas as we plant the first natives of planting season in Forest Park. Several community organizations will be there to celebrate, providing informative walks and hands-on activities related to our forested parks. And there are several gifts and discounts from local businesses for folks who help out! This year, volunteers will have the opportunity to bring home their own native shrubs to plant in their own yards!

*PLEASE NOTE: Mountaineers Leader may not be present. GreenEverett's people will be the "leaders". However, I will be the contact person for The Mountaineers. For example: please provide safety feedback to GreenEverett directly, and give questions about badges to the Mountaineers contact person.

*PLEASE RSVP for the event by the Thursday before the event by  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GreenEverettDay2017 in addition to signing up through The Mountaineers. This way GreenEverett can contact you directly in case of cancellations, time or location changes, etc. PLEASE don't be a no-show! If YOU need to cancel, be sure to cancel in advance with BOTH mountaineers.org AND GreenEverett at greeneverett@forterra.org.
Bring your family, friends, neighbors!
More info can be found here: www.greeneverett.org
If you are registering  unaccompanied youth, please also fill out the waiver on greeneverett.org and have it with you when you arrive .

Two half-day stewardship activities with GreenEverett will count for 1 full day stewardship badge. Note that there is an administrative lag between the time that you complete your second event and the time when your badge is granted. If you think you should have earned a full GreenEverett stewardship badge and it is two weeks after your second event, please contact the Mountaineers leader. YOU MUST SIGN THE ROSTER AT THE EVENT FOR YOUR ATTENDANCE TO BE CONFIRMED for Mountaineer purposes.

Volunteering at two GreenEverett half-day events will fulfill the stewardship requirement for Everett Climbing students. If you need stewardship credit for a different course/branch, please check with your course coordinator to confirm that these two half-day events qualify for their requirements.
