Olympia Mud Bay Park and Ride, meet at 8 am
April 23rd, Sat. Copalis Spiit (Griffiths-Priday State Park)
This is your chance to help clean up an ocean beach. The Olympia Mountaineers Sea Kayaking Group are participating in the Coast Savers Organization beach clean-up.
We will meet in Olympia at the Mud Bay Park and Ride (8am), then proceed to Ocean City to check-in and pick-up trash bags supplied by Washington Coast Savers. From there we will proceed to Copalis Spit (Griffiths-Priday State Park). A Discover Pass will be required.
You may wish to bring an old rucksack or a pack board, eye protection, gloves, and water shoes. There is no sea kayaking this time. We will hike onto the spit. Bring 10 essentials, especially rain gear.This is an adult trip, but if you want to bring children register directly with Coast Savers as a non-mountaineer trip. Contact Jim Wilson 360-357-3593
