Trip
Stewardship - Church Creek–Satsop Lakes
We anticipate that the Olympic National Forest may soon permit trail maintenance in the Forest. However, because current safety precautions remain in place, this trail maintenance trip will transition to a hike if the Olympic National Forest is still prohibiting trail maintenance on June 30. If we are permitted to proceed we are planning a log out to remove down trees on the eastern side of the trail. We are also planning training in step construction at sites along the route.

Meet at Haggens Food and Drug at 8:00 a.m. We'll meet to arrange transportation which will most likely mean all parties will need to drive to the trailhead unless other permissible arragnements can be made.
We plan to return to Haggens at or around 4:00 PM
Thank you for considering this trip with its tentative nature. I am planning to go ahead with this trip as either a work party or a hike. I will try to keep interested parties informed of the trip approval from the US Forest Service so that you can decide on participating as early as possible.
