September 24 National Public Lands Day - Join with land stewards nationwide to help protect Public Lands The trail connects the Skokomish watershed with the Wynoochee watershed, so it involves climbing to the drainage divide (1400 ft gain). Backcountry trail maintenance requires your 10 essentials, water, lunch, work boots (hiking boots are great) and work gloves (leather or other durable material). Meet at Mud Bay Park & Ride off State Route 101 at 7:45 a.m. Carpool to Church Creek. The Branch can supply several hand tools for brushing and tread repair. To help, you can bring a favorite tool for working in and on the trail surface. Return around 5:30 p.m. Meet at Mud Bay Park & Ride off State Route 101 (Second Ave – Mud Bay Exit approx 4 miles West of Olympia) at 7:45 a.m. The Park and Ride is located by turning right off the Exit ramp and then in about 40 yards an immediately left on to Mud Bay / Madrona Beach Road – follow for 1/3 mile and the Park and Ride is on the right.
