Sea Kayak - Wauna to Cutts Island

Paddle from Public Boat Launch West end of 302 Purdy Bridge to Cutt's Island. Return trip will include a circumnavigation of Raft Island.

Meet at the Purdy Boat Launch located at the west end of the Purdy bridge at 9:00am.

Plan to launch at 10:00am or when everyone is ready to go.

Must have your own boat and gear or appropriate rental gear. Plan for immersion as we will be practicing self rescues and assisted rescues as required for a student paddle.

Plan for immersion, we will practice rescues.  Drysuits highly recommended.

Although Website says no prerequisites this paddle requires one of the following:

Basic Sea Kayaking Badge

Basic Sea Kayaking Student badge

Sea Kayaking Equivalency

These three essentials plus The Ten Essentials are required on all sea kayaking trips.  All but the whistle and clothing should be provided with any kayak rental.

Boat, Paddle, PFD, sprayskirt.

Drysuit highly recommended, if you won't have one for this paddle please be sure and contact me before signing up for this paddle.

Lunch, snacks, water

sun protection including sunscreen.
