Sea Kayak - Vashon & Maury Islands Circumnavigation
Get your paddling muscles tuned up for this one. We will paddle up Colvos passage with little current assist, camp on Blake Island and paddle back the following day along the East side of Vashon and Maury (again with little assist). Sails optional.

We will meet at the Point Defiance Marina; there is a 7$ launch fee for kayaks.
This will require some previous conditioning to paddle this 2 day circumnavigation. Please don't make it one of your first paddles of the season. Not a student paddle.

Required Equipment
These eight essentials plus The Ten Essentials are required on all sea kayaking trips. All but the whistle and clothing should be provided with any kayak rental.
- Floatation in both ends of the kayak
- U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
- Paddle
- Spray skirt
- Bilge pump with floatation
- Self-rescue paddle float
- Waterproof whistle
- Appropriate clothing for the conditions encountered seasonally
- All camping gear required for overnight
- Enough food for an over night camp and paddling
