Steilacoom, Sunny Side Beach Park, to Gig Harbor Bay, we’ll ride the north bound Current express 10nm, with Lunch stop at Tides Tavern. Then onto Eddon Park. Where we’ll shuttle back to Steilacoom.

We’ll meet at Sunnyside Beach Park 8:00am

Parking fee $5.00 for two cars that will remain at lot

There will be a shuttle to Eddon Park 

Details will be provided once you’ve been approved to register

Bring VHF radio if you own one

Dry suit required 

Tow belt required 

Item#1 of Ten Essentials required.

Bring back-up snacks and something warm to drink

If your approved for this paddle it’s essential that everyone is punctual this paddle is time Sensitive.  If we want to hit the currents that we’d like to have. To play in.

Required Equipment

These eight essentials plus The Ten Essentials are required on all sea kayaking trips.  All but the whistle and clothing should be provided with any kayak rental.

  1. Floatation in both ends of the kayak
  2. U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
  3. Paddle
  4. Spray skirt
  5. Bilge pump with floatation
  6. Self-rescue paddle float
  7. Waterproof whistle
  8. Appropriate clothing for the conditions encountered seasonally
