We'll take a short trip to Salisbury Park on Hood Canal, the come back into Port Gamble Bay. Early lunch in Port Gamble at the launch point. Then we will make a loop around the bay, and do rescues.
Port Gamble Bay. Those renting gear from the Olympic Outdoor Center should be waiting outside at 9:00am when they open. Launch will be about 10 or 10:15 am, once everyone has their gear and is ready. The launch point is just down the hill from the shop.

You will want get a drysuit, booties, and a boat package which includes
- Life Jacket (PFD)
- Paddle
- Spray Skirt
- Bilge Pump
- Paddle Float
You will have to source your own hoodie and gloves.
Required Equipment
These eight essentials plus The Ten Essentials are required on all sea kayaking trips. All but the whistle and clothing should be provided with any kayak rental.
- Floatation in both ends of the kayak
- U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
- Paddle
- Spray skirt
- Bilge pump with floatation
- Self-rescue paddle float
- Waterproof whistle
- Appropriate clothing for the conditions encountered seasonally
