This South Sound paddle begins near the Billy Frank, Jr. National Wildlife Refuge and passes by the site of historic Fort Nisqually on our way to Ketron Island.  We will have the option of circumnavigating the island if we choose to.  We will practice our self and assisted rescues before returning to our launch point.  We will have some current assist on both legs of the trip.

The boat launch and parking area are managed by WDFW so a Discovery Pass is required for parking.  The lot can get full on busy fishing weekends so please arrive with plenty of time to spare.  There is a pit toilet at the launch site.
