Sea Kayak - Nisqually Delta & Reach

Paddle in the Nisqually Delta from the Luhr boat launch, pass the Nisqually river to sunken boat beach for lunch and return.

 We will meet at Luhr Beach. Be geared up and ready to launch at 10:00am.  Kayak from Luhr Beach boat launch pass the Nisqually River and have lunch at the sunken ship beach. The alternate route, if the weather dictates, would be to kayak to Tolmie State Park.

Bring all the essential kayaking gear, lunch, water. Cars parked at Luhr Beach boat launch will need to display a Discover Pass.
 Details will be sent to you after contacting the kayak leader.

Required Equipment

These eight essentials plus The Ten Essentials are required on all sea kayaking trips.  All but the whistle and clothing should be provided with any kayak rental.

  1. Floatation in both ends of the kayak
  2. U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
  3. Paddle
  4. Spray skirt
  5. Bilge pump with floatation
  6. Self-rescue paddle float
  7. Waterproof whistle
  8. Appropriate clothing for the conditions encountered seasonally
