  • Sea Kayak III+
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 13.0 nm
  • Elevation Gain: -1 ft

We will start and end the paddle at Burton Acres/Johnson Point on Vashon Island.  Meet at 9:15 AM.

I expect this sea kayak trip to have this difficulty and these conditions.  View the sea kayak difficulties definitions on the Activity Types page.

  • Difficulty: SK III+ conditions
  • Wind: 10 - 20 Mph
  • Waves: 2-3 feet
  • Route: Counterclockwise
  • Distance:  13nm
  • Pace: Moderate

This paddle is a great fall route which includes late fall color, sea birds in the harbor, and some exposed paddling which commonly is challenging. You should be comfortable with occasional waves breaking over the deck and windy conditions.
