Sea Kayak - Lummi Island Circumnavigation

April 23 - 25, 2022 , enjoy a 3 day camping trip circumnavigating Lummi Island. Depart from Gooseberry Point (Lummi Island Ferry dock) on Saturday April 23rd by 11am. One night camping on Clark Island Marine State Park. On Sunday we head to Vendovi Island for a hike to look for spring flowers and camp our second night at Lummi Island Cascade Marine Trail Site. Monday return to Gooseberry Point after a trip around Eliza and Portage Island.

Meet a Gooseberry Point to launch by 11am (plan an hour to pack boats then move to park). Some public parking on the road or can pay $5 per day.  Camping fees are $12 per site  to share.

Required Equipment

 The Ten Essentials  plus kayaking essentials:

  1. Floatation in both ends of the kayak
  2. U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
  3. Paddle
  4. Spray skirt
  5. Bilge pump with floatation
  6. Self-rescue paddle float
  7. Waterproof whistle
  8. Emersion wear - dry suit of wet suit
  9. Preferred: tow rope and VHF radio

All camping gear for 2 nights and water as not available at campsites.
