Meet at the Willapa National Wildlife Reserve Visitor Contact Station at 3888 US-101, Naselle, WA.
Be ready to launch by 9:00a. Tide timing is critical for this paddle, so we will not delay the launch.m.
The plan will be to circumnavigate the island in a clockwise direction. On the way back along the east side of the island, we'll have to hug the shore and eddy hop against the outgoing tide. Hopefully we'll have a chance to see some of the elk herd on the island.
Bring shoes to do an easy hike with in case we think we have time to do the 1-hour round trip hike into the old cedar grove.
