Keyport is located on the North end of the Keyport Peninsula off Hwy 308. We Launch from the Washington AVE boat ramp near the small marina.  Meeting at 10:00am. Bathrooms at launch and lunch site.

  • Wind: < 15 kts
  • Waves: < 1 ft
  • Route: Launch at Keyport. Depending on conditions, and what each kayakers' desires and abilities are, we will either turn left into Liberty Bay or turn right towards Brownsville or Suquamish (eat lunch) & paddle back.
  • Distance:  8nm
  • Pace: Easy/Moderate

We'll paddle from Keyport to either  Poulsbo, Brownsville or Suquamish (eat lunch) & return back.

Required Equipment

These seven essentials plus The Ten Essentials are required on all sea kayaking trips.  All but the whistle and clothing should be provided with any kayak rental.

  1. Floatation in both ends of the kayak
  2. U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
  3. Paddle
  4. Spray skirt
  5. Bilge pump with floatation
  6. Self-rescue paddle float
  7. Waterproof whistle
  8. Appropriate clothing for the conditions encountered seasonally
  9. Immersion wear
