10:00 AM at Boston Harbor Ramp
May 17, Sat. - Hope Island Shellfish Foraging. (SKII+, up to 10 nm. launch @ 10:00 AM). NOAA #1845, SeaTrails WA205. This trip is not appropriate as an “Experience “ paddle for new kayakers. Please bring your 2014 Wa. Dept. of Fish & Wildlife Shellfish license, your Discover Pass, a shovel, and appropriate clothing for an extended period of time in the mud, on the beach at Hope Island. My hope is to get a good sample of the bivalves inhabiting our southern Puget Sound beaches, (Butterclams, Steamers, Geoduck, Mussels, maybe more). Low tide is mid afternoon, we may not be back to the put-in until after 5PM. Please call Bob Burreson for details, 360-705-2055.
