Sea Kayak - Hood Canal: Quilcene to Bolton Pennisula

We will meet at the Point Whitney boat ramp located at the end of Point Whitney 9:30 AM

For directions,  On 101 about 3 miles N of Brinnon, take the Bee Mills road turn East at the Cove Park & Grocery. Continue for about 2 miles keeping to the right at Point Whitney rd, continuing to the end. There are bathrooms at the launch site. A Discovery Pass is required for parking.

The plan is to head N along the East side of Bolton Peninsula and explore the upper reaches of the bay. We will stop for lunch at the sand spit. There will be (2) crossing of just over (1) NM each. If wind is an issue we will do an alternate route in Quilcene Bay. The anticipated distance will be about 12nm.
