Sea Kayak - Hammersley Inlet

Meet around 930 am at Walker park. Launch 1030 am. Paddle to Hope Island, for a break, and paddle back to Walker park. Current assist.

Meet at Walker park at about 930, or in time to launch at 1030.     

 

There is some wind in the forecast (7-15 kt) which we could encounter between Hammerslee Inlet and Hope Island.    There is the option of stopping at Arcadia or before, without going to Hope Island, if the wind is excessive.

Dry suit, lunch

Floatation in both ends of the kayak

  1. U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
  2. Paddle
  3. Spray skirt
  4. Bilge pump with floatation
  5. Self-rescue paddle float
  6. Waterproof whistle
  7. Appropriate clothing for the conditions encountered seasonally
