On the water by 9:30am, consider meeeting at 8:30 to prepare your gear. Meet at Golden Gardens, just north of Shilshole Marina. Exact location is north end of the public launch parking lot where the sandy beach begins, near the creek.
Off the water at 11:30am
Come ready to practice and refine skills of your choice in a controlled environment. You will want to have knowledge of the skill, there will not be formal instruction. Read, watch videos, know, then come practice! We will provide structure, safety, experience, and support.
This skills session is accessible to all levels of experience. Dress for immersion in 55 degree water. Drysuit required. Neoprene cap HIGHLY recommended.
This is SK II activity, up to SK III dependant upon wind conditions.

Required Equipment
These seven essentials plus The Ten Essentials are required on all sea kayaking trips. All but the whistle and clothing should be provided with any kayak rental.
- Floatation in both ends of the kayak
- U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
- Paddle
- Spray skirt
- Bilge pump with floatation
- Self-rescue paddle float
- Waterproof whistle
- Appropriate clothing for the conditions encountered seasonally
