Sea Kayak - Freshwater Bay

The sea life along the walls west of FWB is varied and abundant.  The best time to see this is during a very low tide, such as the one during our paddle this day.  I have seen eels, nudibranches, several kinds of sea star, sponges, urchins, eggs, octupuses, jellies, shellfish, and many otherand varied creastures.  I have even seen some things that the marine center could not identify.  Notes:  We will not be touching the wall or its inhabitants.  There may be short periods when we will  be carried in up to 4.0 kt current during the first 2 hours of the paddle.  This will be as we round points between coves.  

Meet at FWB at 7:30 AM for an 8 AM launch. This is on the early side because that's when the lowest tide and best chance to view sealife on the walls will be.  If you want to come to the Peninsula the night before, there are great cabins and tent camping at Crescent Beach for a fee.  If you plan to stay at Crescent Beach, I'd make reservations now as they go fast.  Bring wheels to the as the water will be some distance from the shoreline.
