If you attended the clinic the day before, and now have some skills that you might not of had beforehand, this would be a good opportunity to continue building them. Continue working on your timing or a rescue or two should the opportunity arise. Or if it’s windy you might check off an IMS item.

Be sure to bring these if you own them:
A tow belt and/or short tow
VHF marine radio
Snacks and lunch warmer hot fluids
Plan to meet at Freshwater Bay at 9:00am.
And be ready for beach huddle by 9:45am

Required Equipment
These eight essentials plus The Ten Essentials are required on all sea kayaking trips. All but the whistle and clothing should be provided with any kayak rental.
- Floatation in both ends of the kayak
- U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
- Paddle
- Spray skirt
- Bilge pump with floatation
- Self-rescue paddle float
- Waterproof whistle
- Appropriate clothing for the conditions encountered seasonally
