We will launch at 10:00 AM from a private beach located on Eld Inlet at the north end of the Cooper Point peninsula.

Distance: About 9 NM.  Rating ll+--- Come for a paddle on beautiful Eld Inlet.  We’ll launch on Eld near the end of the Cooper Point peninsula.  From there,  we’ll paddle around the point for some fantastic views of south Puget Sound.    We’ll then paddle to the west side of Eld Inlet and paddle south along the shoreline.   Along the way, we’ll visit several coves and stop for lunch at Frye Cove County Park.   From the park, we’ll paddle south to Flapjack Point and then head across the inlet to Green Cove.   From the cove, we’ll paddle north along the Cooper Point peninsula shoreline and back to our launch site for the pullout.  This is an experience paddle for recent graduates of the Olympia branch’s basic sea kayaking course and they will be given first priority in registering for the paddle.   This is also a monitored trip for Larry Cowan.   Immersion gear is required.  Note:  This trip requires the leader's permission for registration.     Anyone desiring to go on this trip should contact the leader.   The leader would like to sign up applicants himself and requests that applicants not self-register.
