Bring if you have them:  VHF Radio, Tow Belt

If your Mountaineers profile does not include the COVID-19 Vaccine badge, you will need to email proof of vaccination to the leader prior to the paddle.

We’ll launch from the beach beside Dash Point Pier (located at 1500 Beach Dr NE, Tacoma 98422). Once on the water we’ll proceed to Browns Point Lighthouse Park, where we will stop briefly to stretch our legs and use the porta potty if needed. We will then continue on around Browns Point to the mouth of the Hylebos Waterway in the Port of Tacoma, exploring the marina and hopefully observing sea lions, seals, and other wildlife with a great view of Mt Rainier, stopping for lunch on a secluded beach.  After lunch we’ll make our way back north, stopping again at Browns Point Lighthouse Park as needed or desired by the group.  At any point in the paddle we can stop to practice rescues, rolls, and other fun stuff as the group desires.
