Calling all BSK students who still need that 2nd paddle – this one’s for you !!!

Not only will you graduate the course, weather permitting, of course, but you’ll be paddling in one of the neatest areas in Puget Sound.  We’ll launch just before low tide, and it’s pretty low too, so you’ll be able to see tons of intertidal stuff.

We’ll launch from Wildcat Cove at Larrabee State Park, paddle  to Chuckanut Bay.  At the north end of the bay is a little cove that has what looks like petrified palm trees.  They’re actually sand concretions.  May see harbor seals on the rocks in the bay, and various birds in the area.

Leader permission is required.  Priority to students that need their 2nd paddle to graduate.  Please contact me by email – – or call/text 206-850-3993.  Let me know if you need this to graduate.  I’ll take others (course grads or students who have completed their 2 paddles) on a first come, first served basis.  That is, I’ll take your names and fill you in during the last week if the trip isn’t filled yet by students needing their 2nd paddle.

Drysuit/wet suit will be required for this paddle.  Please contact Barb at Kayak Academy and reserve you kayak and drysuit/wetsuit.  KA will deliver if they have six paid reservations.  Kayak Academy’s phone:  206-527-1825.  Again, we need at least six folks to reserve or KA will not deliver.

Meet at Wildcat Cove at 9 am.  Launch at around 10 am.  Return around 3:30 or so.  Optional  apres paddle at a TBD pub/eatery.

A Discovery Pass is also required.

I expect this sea kayak trip to have this difficulty and these conditions.  View the sea kayak difficulties definitions on the Activity Types page.
