Budd Inlet Pre-Banff Paddle: SK-2 to 2+ and < 7NM. Join Olympia Kayakers on the annual pre-Banff paddle of Budd Inlet. We'll launch from West Bay Park, tour the inner harbour, have snack at Priest Point Park and return via a crossing to West Bay Marina. The trip can be modified for moderate weather, extreme weather conditions cancel. Immersion gear essential as it's usually quite chilly! Required Equipment
These seven essentials plus The Ten Essentials are required on all sea kayaking trips. All but the whistle and clothing should be provided with any kayak rental.
- Floatation in both ends of the kayak
- U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
- Paddle
- Spray skirt
- Bilge pump with floatation
- Self-rescue paddle float
- Waterproof whistle
- Appropriate clothing for the conditions encountered seasonally
