Mountaineer paddlers of all experience levels welcomed. The intent is to select a route that allows us to maximize the opportunities presented by wind, tide, and current conditions consistent with the skill level of our paddlers. It is not unusual to have evening winds approach 10 to 15 knots. Consistent with your Mountaineer training, please check the wind forecast for yourself on the day of the paddle and determine whether it is within your comfort level.
Boston Harbor Boat Ramp. Discover Pass Required. Be ready to launch at 6:00pm sharp. Return about dusk.
Required Equipment
These eight essentials plus The Ten Essentials are required on all sea kayaking trips. All but the whistle and clothing should be provided with any kayak rental.
- Floatation in both ends of the kayak
- U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
- Paddle
