10:00 AM at Southworth Ferry Dock
Ok, so the new computer system ate my previous notes. I'll try and recap from memory. We'll meet and be ready to paddle at 10AM from the Southworth Ferry landing. There are parking lots at the site that accept cash and visa. I'm not sure of the overnight fee, but the cars should be relatively safe here as compared to on the street at Manchester boat launch. As you come to the ferry landing, there is a small side street on the left. Take it down to the beach and unload your boat and gear. The land to the north is private, so please respect it. Once unloaded, drive back and park in the ferry parking lot and pay your fees. I was told you may not receive a ticket for your space. The person that checks on the tickets can check the electronic system to make sure you paid. Don't pay twice. We'll head over to Blake and set up camp at the Washington Water Trails site on the northern tip of the island. There is also a camping fee for this site, which I think is $13. Not sure if this is per person or per tent, sorry. This fee is payable only with cash. After we're set up we will do a circumnavigation of the island and head back to camp. The following day we'll practice skills as we head back to the launch site. This can be used as a student paddle for this years basic classes. If used as such, rescues will be practiced. Dry suit required.
